A list of jQuery interface elements and plugins developed by Eyecon
Posted in jQuery by Gergely Marton | Tags: Development, interface, jQuery, ListHello folks! First of all, sorry for the delayed writing on our blog, but we had a few re-inventing to do over here at WebGurus, and that ate up all our time.
I’m using jQuery for 2 years now and I search for addons and plugins for it every day. Most of my searches are targeted towards interface elements, interface effects and image manipulation plugins. At all of my searches with our friend Mr. Google, one site is always popping up with some great “home-made” plugins and effects. I think it’s worth sharing this guy’s great work, so maybe he earns a little more credit for what he did. All the effects and elements are similar to what jQuery UI is offering but not as commercial and nicely packed as theirs.
Here’s the list:
1. Interface Elements
This interface pack contains the following:
accordion, animate, animatestop, autocompleter, carousel, cart, dependencies, download, drag, drag_drop_tree, drag_vr, drop, expander, fisheye, ifx, imagebox, menu, resize, resize_textarea, scrollbar, select, slider, slider_colorpicker, slider_minmax, slider_resize, slideshow, sort, sort_floats, sort_lists, sort_tabs, tooltip, ttabs, windows
You can access the whole list at one place here: http://interface.eyecon.ro/demos/
2. Date Picker – jQuery plugin
Date Picker component with a lot of options and easy to fit in your web application. It has many of the default features:
* Flat mode – as element in page
* Multiple calendars in the component
* Allows single, multiple or range selection
* Mark dates as special, weekends, special days
* Easy to customize the look by changing CSS
* Localiation for months’ and days’ names
* Custom day to start the week
* Fits into the viewport
- You can view a demo here.
3. Color Picker – jQuery plugin
A simple component to select color in the same way you select color in Adobe Photoshop.
This one plugin is one of the best out there in it’s category and includes some features like:
* Flat mode – as element in page
* Powerful controls for color selection
* Easy to customize the look by changing some images
* Fits into the viewport
- You can view a demo here.
4. ZoomImage – jQuery plugin
Present you images in stylish way. You can unrobustively hijack links to open the images in an inpage popup with drop shadow and border.
* Preloads images
* The images can by grouped in galleries
* Scales the image to fit the viewport
* Keyboard gallery navigation
- You can view a demo here.
5. Space Gallery – jQuery plugin
Again another image gallery. It has a nice 3D-space effect and it is useful for presenting portfolios or even a feature tour.

- You can view a demo here.
6. Games based on jQuery – Roller and a very nice Slot Machine
These games are a nice example for the power of jQuery. One of my clients is using EYECON’s slot machine engine for it’s gambling website.

- You can view a demo of the slot machine here and a demo of the Roller here.
Please notice that some of the interface elements haven’t been updated since jQuery 1.1.4 and therefore might be incompatible with jQuery versions 1.2+. (Thank you Karl!)
That’s all about it! Please give a big thank you for EYECON for developing these for us, designers and developers.
Comments are welcome and feel free to express your opinions about the plugins found here. Any bugs you encounter you can write to Eyecon or you can just ask me by writing a comment and maybe I can help you out.
Thanks in advance for the upcoming diggs!

Keep in mind that some of the interface elements haven’t been updated since jQuery 1.1.4 and therefore might be incompatible with jQuery versions 1.2+

Thank you Karl for pointing that out, you are perfectly right! I will edit my post!

Hey, nice collection.
one quick question: I tried using the fisheye plugin and the spacegallery together. Somehow the spacegallery isnt working anymore if I import the interface.js. Is that problem known? and is there a workaround?
Simon Maass says:
hey,
did not import the inteface.js file and exchange it with the 2 seperate files fisheye.js and iutil.js. now the spacegallery works…
Gergely Marton says:
Thank you Simon!
I see you’ve managed the problem all by yourself. Notice that these interface plugins are built upon an older version of jQuery (basically these are the plugins behind jquery UI), so keep in mind the versions when you try to use it somewhere.

That’s understandable that money can make us free. But how to act if someone doesn’t have cash? The one way only is to get the loan or short term loan.
